Three decades in media and communications, Cruz Teng has created compelling content for diverse audiences and helped brands craft powerful stories, while building enduring reputations.
Cruz began his media career on 31.3.1996, as the youngest-ever radio presenter on Mediacorp YES 933. From 2002, he went on to produce and present its flagship evening and morning shows, both ranked #1 across all languages and stations, and was named Most Popular Radio Personality four consecutive times at the Singapore Radio Awards.
As station head from 2013, he delivered higher year on year core audience ratings and advertising revenue. He also chaired and hosted major music award shows — the Singapore Hit Awards and the Global Chinese Music Awards.
Cruz transitioned into senior brand and communications roles in the banking, insurance, automotive and land transport sectors from 2016 to 2025. In these positions, he shaped global brand narratives, managed reputational risks and led strategic messaging for internal and external stakeholders. He also served as a trusted advisor to CEOs and boards.
Leveraging what he’d learnt and experienced in media and communications, Cruz founded DZY, Singapore’s newest content and communications consultancy, on 25.7.25. He returns to the microphone with a new podcast, The DZY Show, and is now available for events hosting, panel moderation and voiceovers in English and Mandarin. Through DZY, he aims to support business owners and start-up founders on their communication and branding needs — whether for high-stakes media interviews, complex crises or launching campaigns from scratch.
Cruz currently sits on the board of Singapore-listed NoonTalk Media Limited. He’s also an Accredited Director of the Singapore Institute of Directors and an Accredited Member of the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore.

在擔任新加坡收聽率第一台台長期間，他負責電台營運、推動營收增長，並制定人才與品牌策略。他與團隊成功提升收聽率與廣告收益，也擔任《新加坡金曲獎》與《全球華語歌曲排行榜》的典禮司儀與籌委會主席。
離開媒體圈，志勇在銀行、保險、汽車與陸路交通等領域擔任品牌與傳訊高層職位，負責塑造品牌故事、管理聲譽風險，並領導內部與外部的策略性溝通。他也成為企業領袖信賴的顧問。
累積媒體與傳播領域的經驗與洞察，志勇於2025年7月25日創辦新加坡最新的內容與傳播顧問公司 DZY。他也重返麥克風，推出播客《The DZY Show》，現亦接受主持與商業配音邀約。DZY也旨在協助企業主管處理傳播與品牌事務，不論是面對媒體訪問、應對公關危機或是從零打造全面性行銷策略。
